Property Tax and Rent Refund Clinics to End Next Week, According to Cause | News

The final Property/Rent Tax Refund Clinics hosted by Rep. Martin Causer, R-Turtlepoint, will take place March 7-10. However, support will continue to be available at its district offices in Bradford, Coudersport and Kane.

The March 7 clinic will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Bradford Senior Center and the March 10 clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Coudersport Senior Center.

These services are free and no appointment is required.

People who cannot get to a clinic can also get help from one of Cause’s local Bradford offices at 78 Main St., First Floor, phone 814-362-4400; Coudersport, 107 S. Main St., Room 1, phone 814-274-9769; or Kane, 55 Fraley Street, phone 814-837-0880.

“We appreciate the opportunity to help local seniors get these helpful discounts,” Causer said. “If you think you qualify, please stop by one of the remaining clinics or contact my offices for assistance.”

The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers aged 50 and over; and persons with disabilities aged 18 and over. The income limit is $35,000 per year for owners and $15,000 per year for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded.

The deadline to apply for a rebate is June 30. Rebates will be distributed beginning July 1, as required by law. Additional information, along with claim forms and a link to apply online, is available at www.RepCauser.com.
