Keeping these documents handy when filing your ITR will help you cross-check the data on the pre-filled form. “The income tax declaration procedure does not require you to attach or upload documents when filing the tax return. It is a procedure without an annex, but in case of request for the tax return. assessment agent, documents and certificates must be presented as evidence to the assessment agent,” says Deepak Jain, Managing Director of TaxManager.in.
