Appraiser’s Office Has Presentations on Property Tax Relief | News


The La Paz County Assessor’s Office will be hosting countywide presentations on property tax relief programs. These exemptions apply only to full-time residents of Arizona.

Property tax relief programs are aimed at widows and widowers, the 100 percent disabled, religious organizations and non-profit organizations. There is also the Senior Property Valuation Protection option, or freezing of the valuation, for residents aged 65 and over.

Here are the places, dates and times of these presentations:

Salom̩-Centennial Community Center, 69725 Centennial Park Road; Monday December 13; 2 p.m. Р4 p.m.

Ehrenberg & Cibola- Ehrenberg Fire Department, 49480 Ehrenberg-Poston Autobahn; Tuesday December 14; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Quartzsite- Quartzsite Public Library; 465 N. Plymouth Avenue; Wednesday December 15; 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Bouse-Bouse Library, 44031 E. Plomosa Road; Wednesday December 15; 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

To qualify for property tax relief, one must be a full-time resident of Arizona for one year before applying.

The documents needed for these programs include an Arizona driver’s license, an Arizona voter registration card, two utility bills with name and address, a registered copy of a death certificate for widows or widowers, as well as records of all 2021 income for the household. Examples include SSA-1099, 1099-INT, 1099-R, 1099-DIV, and W-2.

Further property tax relief presentations are scheduled for January. Their dates and times will be announced.
